What are VET courses?

Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses are professional courses offered by government institutions called Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions and private institutions. Vet courses provide you with qualifications and practical skills in a range of industries. These qualifications are recognised throughout Australia and the Australian government provides funding, develops policies and contributes to regulation and quality assurance of the sector.

Why study a VET Course?

  • Attendance for VET courses is a weekly basis and flexible, making it ideal for those who wish to work while studying.
  • Payment for these courses is often done in installments over the duration of the course.
  • Institutions offering VET courses may offer a pathway to the workforce.VET courses may be integrated with or substitute a higher education pathway at a much lower cost compared to other forms of higher education.
